Meet Joelle Kekhoua, MA, LPC

Hi, I’m Joelle!

I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating a wide range of mental health and life challenges. My passion is helping clients find hope and practical strategies when they feel overwhelmed by anxiety, OCD, depression, eating disorders, trauma, chronic illness, or the unique challenges that can accompany conditions such as PANS/PANDAS, Lyme disease, and other complex medical concerns.

I believe therapy should be collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person's unique needs. Whether you're struggling with intrusive thoughts, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, or the impact that physical health issues can have on daily life, I strive to create a supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.

My approach integrates evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while also drawing from intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Together, we'll identify patterns that are keeping you stuck, build practical coping skills, and work toward healing in a way that aligns with your values and goals.

I have a special interest in supporting individuals and families affected by chronic illness and understand that mental and physical health are deeply interconnected. My goal is to help clients build resilience, strengthen relationships, and move toward a life that feels fuller and more manageable—even in the face of significant challenges.
