Animal Assisted Therapy
As of Spring 2025, we have a new member joining our team at C.R.E.W.! We will now be offering Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) with our Certified Therapy Dog, Kora. She is a super sweet, 8 pound Cavapoo (hypoallergenic), who loves to cuddle. She will be available for visits 1-2x/month, upon request, to support clients struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma related emotional distress.

Animal-assisted therapy (AAT) is an effective intervention that leverages the presence of animals, particularly dogs, to enhance the therapeutic process. It has been shown to reduce anxiety, lower stress levels, and improve emotional regulation. Studies demonstrate that animals can foster a sense of safety and trust, which helps individuals feel more open and engaged in therapy.
Additionally, AAT can improve social interactions, boost self-esteem, and enhance mood, making it a valuable tool for treating conditions like PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
Research also supports its positive impact on physiological measures like heart rate and blood pressure.
